A few months ago a photographer friend and I were having a chat when we got on to talking about bikes, mountain bikes that is. Anyway Colin lives a stones throw from Dalby Forest and told me how good the red route was and we ought to give it a go. So fast forward a couple months and there we were pulling our shoes on in Dalby Forest car park. Both of us have had busy summers with weddings so haven't got out on the bikes as much as we wanted but it was apparent on the first climb that Colin had had a few too many pies over the summer!
The red route at Dalby is pretty long, a good 3 hour ride, so take plenty of water and some food. It's mostly singletrack but all rideable and the trail builders have done a fantastic job making it all weather. If you're an intermediate+ rider it's worth the trip, great fun.
